Offshore Kick Off Party Location Set

The Kick-off party for the Oregon Offshore will be held this year at Kells Irish Pub & Restaurant. Kells Irish Pub link They are located at 112 SW Second Ave in Portland. The event starts at 6 pm on Monday, April 25.

This is your last chance to enter the race. It is also a chance to look for additional crew, if you are short anyone. There are usually at least a few folks looking to catch a ride for the race.

This year's Offshore shirts will be available for purchase. Carolyn Martin has also been collecting lots of goodies for the raffle.

We have our Coast Guard permit

Last night's email brought the wonderful news that we have our Coast Guard permit for the race.  In past years, we have waited until almost race time before receiving the permit.  Thanks to the great Coast Guard personnel in both Seattle and Portland for such efficient processing!

Dates for 2011 Oregon Offshore

This year the race will start on Thursday May 12, 2011 at Buoy 2 on the Columbia and finish no later than 10 am on Sunday morning on May 15. 2011. The start time will be announced at the Skipper's Meeting in Astoria on May 11, 2011.

The kick-off party is scheduled for April 25, 2011, so save the date!

Race packets will be available on line shortly.

First entry for the 2011 Offshore has arrived

It's that time again - entries are starting to trickle in for the 2011 Offshore.

Jerry Barnes in L'Orca, a Beneteau First 3555 is our first entry.

Race Entry Deadline less than month away

All you racers out there need to get your entries in for the Oregon Offshore. The entry deadline coincides with the annual kickoff party and is less than a month away. The kick-off party this year is on April 27, 2009 and is the last chance you have to get your entries in.

The Kick-Off party will be held at the Deschutes Brewery in the Pearl. Racers, crew and everyone else is invited to join us for the event starting at 6:00.
